im very tired.
cause i only slept for three hours from 7.30am just now.
nonetheless, must update!
today marks my last official (official last?) day as an mjc student.
aka, it's my last day wearing the
well, the A's are over, and the next stage of my journey in life begins.
there'll be a job to do (pending; to finance my expenses),
there'll be drama (must try to have i don't care),
there'll be meet-ups (which are a headache to organise =X),
while waiting for results and hopefully + eventually getting into a course in u.
independence has to come with the end of a teenage student's life.
my jc life...
come to think of it, jc life isn't as bad as many portrayed it to be, esp that of in mj.
indeed, there's great competition,
it isn't easy to do well, efforts put in may not reap results,
it's hard to make strong bonds, but it is actually ok at the end of it.
i still remember the morning to check jae posting.
i still remember the moment i saw mjc, i was thinking, "im fated to be there."
my L1R5 was the max of 14 (minus 4) to get into mj,
moreover i didn't put it as first choice (i wanted to try to get into tj lep)...
i wanted to stay, cause of what my sec4 teacher told me,
and what the hod told me.
but to make my mum happy i went to appeal. =.=
and obviously i didn't get it with my totally un-fantastic grades and non-outstanding records.
and every cloud has a silver lining...
i cannot imagine what jc life would be if i got the appeal.
i would be struggling because i don't have what it takes in the first place.
i would be very much out of the situation most of the time.
because tj is said to be like the second ah.
ah is literally nothing without my dear friends and that teacher,
and perhaps the miserable guitar skills that i managed to pick up.
and the blessing in disguise is that i eventually realised that chinese lit is not my thing.
if i were in lep, no matter where, i would be wasting my time.
im very sure since i entered mj, and till now, that it is the place for me.
the speed of lectures, learning pace were all alright,
there wasn't much of a difference between standards,
and i joined a cca of a correct choice.
i was talking to ms ng during our consultation,
and we both agreed that there's been many opportunities for me.
in tm, in ccs, some of the school stuff...
i first found drama,
i got to know myself better,
i started to know clearly what i want.
i was no longer wasting my life in school.
i can see clearly who i am and how i've changed as a person.
(not in the bitchy and unreasonable way though. lols. )
there've been good times and also the rough times, like the first half of 2008 for example.
i saw myself doing crazy things that i've never done before and would never do back then.
so although mj = mugger jc, i don't regret going there.
i personally don't think it sucks being there,
like what a lot of people say (i do accept the detractors' point).
cause that's where i found myself,
that's where i found my interests, strengths and weaknesses.
therefore, i would conclude that,
these two years in mj has been a fruitful journey.
although those mugging may have killed off some (maybe most) of the memorable things,
there're still significant memories to take away.
and significance doesn't need to be in abundance.
it's farewell, to school-u days.
it's farewell, to the school days spent in mjc.
currently truly madly deeply extremely very amazed that i managed,
to type such an entry entirely in english. =)
